Startups
Startups are young, innovation-driven companies developing new ideas, products or services. They are often at an early stage, working to bring their solutions to market.
Startups are driven by founders, ambition and creative thinking — and they are central to technological change, new approaches and economic growth.

What we offer startups
IceBAN supports founders with services that improve their access to funding, networks and knowledge.
Our goal is to help founders grow — from idea to reality.
What does IceBAN offer founders?
- Access to the angel investor network
Founders register their ventures in the IceBAN application system, which matches them with interested investors. - The chance to pitch
The opportunity to take part in pitch events where founders and investors meet and connect. - Guidance and support
We advise on and give feedback on pitches and investment materials, and on how best to position a venture for investors — before a founder takes part in a pitch event. - Training and network
Access to events, networks and a community of founders and investors across the country.
Whether you are taking your first steps or already have a product or service in the market, IceBAN can help you reach the right investors and take the next step.
From application to angel investor — how the process works
Founders who want to present their venture to angel investors register it in the IceBAN application system. That starts a process designed to connect founders with the right investors and improve the odds of reaching their funding goals.
1. Registering the venture
The founder registers their venture in the system, describing the idea, the solution, the team, the market and the vision, along with the funding round they are planning. This information becomes available to investors and feeds into the screening that follows.
2. Screening and member access
IceBAN staff review submissions and screen ventures for quality, clarity and potential. Every venture that meets the baseline criteria is entered into the system and made visible to members, who can assess it against their own interests and experience.
3. Selection and the chance to pitch
The IceBAN advisory board reviews the ventures that pass screening and selects those invited to present at the organisation's pitch events, held four times a year.
Ventures not selected for a formal pitch can still attract member interest through the system, where every approved venture remains accessible within the network.
4. Follow-up and next steps
When a venture sparks interest — whether through a pitch or through the system — conversations begin between the founder and members. That can lead to investment, agreements and continued collaboration.
